You’ll now be able to find the brand’s frozen vegan entrees, including the new Hearty Rigatoni Veg Bolognese and Rockin’ Chili Mac, at Target.
Wicked Kitchen, an international plant-based food brand, is rolling out its chef-crafted frozen entrees at Target stores nationwide. Entering the US market just two years ago, Wicked Kitchen made history with the most extensive plant-based product launch in US grocery history, boasting 25 chef-crafted options. Now available in major retailers like Kroger, Walmart, and 7-Eleven, Wicked Kitchen has expanded its reach into regional grocery chains, including Giant Eagle, The Giant Company, and Meijer. Originating in the UK, Wicked Kitchen has also expanded its footprint into Asda supermarket chain and Booker, a foodservice wholesaler.
Wicked Kitchen’s Plant-Based Product Line
Target takes the spotlight as the first national retailer to feature Wicked Kitchen’s newest frozen entrees: Hearty Rigatoni Veg Bolognese and Rockin’ Chili Mac, joining the original four entrees. This expansion aligns with Wicked Kitchen’s mission to provide access to flavor-forward, chef-crafted plant-based foods nationwide.
Wicked Kitchen, which was founded by chefs and brothers Derek and Chad Sarno, continues to diversify its offerings. The past year saw the introduction of plant-based heat-and-eat stews, noodle cups, mac & cheeses, frozen pizzas and ice creams. The acquisition of Good Catch and Current Foods further strengthened Wicked Kitchen’s presence in the foodservice sector in both the US and the UK.
The full lineup of Wicked Kitchen’s new products launched in the US this year include:
- Hearty Rigatoni Veg Bolognese and Rockin’ Chili Mac frozen entrees
- Homey No Chicken Noodles and Mac & Peas noodle cups
- PepperNOni pizza
- Birthday Cake Ice Dream ice cream
- Smoky Picnic, This is Nacho, and BBQ King mac & cheese
- Tuscan Style White Bean Stew, Sweet Potato & 3 Bean Chili, and Bourguignon ready-to-eat stews
“We’re proud to have Wicked Kitchen products available in Target as it’s another step toward giving more access to plant-based foods to consumers, and it’s especially exciting since we share the same hometown of Minneapolis,” said Pete Speranza, CEO of Wicked Kitchen. “It is validating to have such strong retailers believe in our mission and in the future of plant-based foods as we continue to lead plant-based innovations with flavor-forward products that appeal to vegans and omnivores alike.”
Wicked Kitchen’s Continued Innovation
This year, Wicked Kitchen delights consumers with an array of new products, including frozen entrees like Hearty Rigatoni Veg Bolognese and Rockin’ Chili Mac, noodle cups, pizza, ice cream, mac & cheese, and ready-to-eat stews. “As a disruptive plant-based brand in the US and UK, we are on a mission to improve the lives of humans and animals globally by offering chef-created plant-based foods with a broader appeal,” said Speranza. “By launching even more products where we already have a presence and expanding into new markets, we will continue to grow our range of delicious options to help meet the burgeoning demand for variety and flavor in plant-based foods.”
